What we do different
❌ No kennel - your dog has a high-end home style bedroom to sleep and rest in as needed and plenty of human attention.
❌No carer rotation - your dog is solely cared by a qualified animal behaviourist (Alize) instead of a rotation of canine carers. Contingency plans have been arranged in the unlikely event of your dog care provider experiencing a serious medical emergency; we have several trusted individual with background in animal care capable to cover your dog's care within a hour notice.
❌ Your dog is not a number - while many luxury boarding kennels can have over 20 dogs to one carer ratio, we offer a maximum of 1 to 2 dogs ratio. Some dogs may require to be on a 1 to 1 ratio; we never charge an additional cost for this but require advance notice.
❌No hidden additional charges - unlike traditional boarding kennels; enrichment activities, late bathroom breaks, bath and groom ect. never incur an extra charge. Bespoke care is what you pay for and your dog welfare is the priority and never incur additional charges.
❌ No paid meet & greet - Pre-boarding meeting are free and mandatory for new guests. This is to give you peace of mind, build a relationship with your dog, understand their needs and ensure your dog suitability for our boarding and/or training services. Meet and greets are only charged in instances where a stranger reactive dog require more than one preliminary meeting, this is to ensure a risk free stay and complete peace of mind for both owners and care taker.
❌ No excessive noise (unlike typical kennel) - We operate in a calm residential neighbourhood and sleep right by our guests' bedrooms which promote a calm, home-feel environment for dogs to settle in. We are grateful for the quiet environment the whole neighbourhood maintain and how understanding our neighbours have been of our human reactive guests. We wish to preserve their positive outlook towards dogs that are too often mislabelled as "nuisances". As such we cannot accommodate guests that are excessively vocal and may cause a 3rd party complaint under the Noise Act 1996 (meaning excessive, persistence noise at anytime from 11pm to 7am) or under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (persistent day barking). Please book a night trial stay ahead if you are in doubt of your dog ability to be left alone in their suite overnight or for a nap during day time.
❌No Charge for referral letters - Animal welfare is our priority, we will always write veterinarian behavioural referral letters free at no additional cost to assist you in obtaining an accurate veterinarian diagnosis and related medications. In 2025 alone, Alize' referrals have assisted vets to diagnose and treat 7 dogs with issues ranging from OCD, partial eyesight/ hearing lost, degenerative joint disease and food allergies.

Classic Boarding
At Boarding and Behaviour, we’ve always specialised in caring for dogs with high support needs, and that remains at the heart of what we do. However, we’ve seen growing interest from owners of dogs without significant behavioural or medical requirements who still want a premium, professional standard of care. In response, we’re trialling a two-tier boarding system. Alongside our specialist service, we’re introducing “Classic Boarding,” which offers the same level of expertise, comfort, and attentive care at a lower price point, reflecting the reduced complexity and risk involved in supporting dogs without additional needs.
£50 per night

Specialist Boarding
This is our original boarding service that is designed specifically for dogs with complex behavioural or medical needs, providing a safe, structured, and highly experienced environment tailored to them. It is suitable for dogs with separation anxiety (provided they can be left alone for a minimum of five minutes without distress), as well as those who are reactive to other dogs and/or people, or who may present a bite risk. We are committed to doing more than simply boarding your dog—we aim to make a meaningful, long-term positive impact on their wellbeing. As part of this, the service includes daily training at no extra cost, where appropriate, ensuring each dog receives support that is carefully adapted to their unique needs and progress.
Short stay (less than 7 days): £80 per night
